Day 1–3

We will meet around 18:30 at Keflavík International Airport, where our journey begins. From there, we’ll head to our accommodation, which will be our base for the next three nights.

Over the following days, we’ll explore the colorful landscapes of Landmannalaugar and Kerlingarfjöll, along with some of the surrounding highlights. Expect volcanic craters, waterfalls, geothermal areas and dramatic highland scenery. We’ll also have the opportunity to relax in natural hot springs, so don’t forget your swimsuit.

Day 4–6

We continue our journey towards eastern Iceland, photographing some of the country’s most iconic landscapes. Our itinerary includes Svartifoss, Múlagljúfur Canyon, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach, the Ósland Nature Reserve, and the spectacular Vestrahorn mountain and Stokksnes peninsula.

Wildlife is also an important part of this section of the tour. Depending on the conditions, we may photograph seals, Arctic Terns, Little Skuas and a variety of other bird species.

Day 7

We head back towards the south coast, visiting some of Iceland’s most famous locations, including Dyrhólaey, Reynisfjara, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss. If the season and conditions allow, we’ll also photograph Atlantic Puffins and explore the vibrant lupin-covered landscapes that transform parts of the coastline into a sea of purple during early summer.

After checking into our accommodation, those who still have some energy can join an optional hike to a beautiful geothermal valley, where we can unwind in naturally warm rivers after a memorable week in the field.

Day 8

Our final morning begins at the Flói Nature Reserve, one last opportunity to enjoy Icelandic wildlife and landscapes before we drive back to Keflavík International Airport for departure.

Weather

Iceland’s weather is highly unpredictable. Even in June, sunshine, wind and rain can all happen within the same day. Temperatures usually range between 6°C and 20°C, so layered clothing and waterproof equipment are essential.

Midnight Sun

During June-July, Iceland experiences the midnight sun. Sunset is around 23:20 and sunrise around 02:20, with daylight lasting throughout the night. This gives us exceptional flexibility to photograph during the quietest and most beautiful hours of the day.

Seasonal Highlights

Early summer is one of the best times to visit Iceland. Lupin fields are in full bloom, puffins are nesting along the coast, and wildlife activity is at its peak.

Optional Activities

Throughout the tour we’ll have the opportunity to visit natural geothermal pools. On our final evening, participants can optionally join a hike to Reykjadalur Hot Springs to relax after a week of photography.

Meals

All accommodations feature a fully equipped kitchen, and we’ll prepare most of our meals together. This gives us the flexibility to adapt our schedule to the ever-changing light and weather conditions, rather than fixed restaurant hours.

Throughout the trip, we’ll also enjoy one or two dinners together at a local restaurant, depending on our itinerary and photographic opportunities.

Deposit

A €500 deposit is required to secure your place on the tour and should be paid within one week of booking confirmation.

Final Payment

The remaining balance is due no later than March 2027.
